6 Weeks!

Whew, I've been a slacker.  I'm finding it difficult to sit down and write more than a status update these days.

So Spencer is 6 weeks old now, which is really hard to believe!  It's going by so quickly!  He weighs nearly 10.5 lbs. now, so I'd say breastfeeding is going well!  That's over 2 lbs. in 3 weeks!  He'll never be a big ole sumo baby, but he's definitely growing!

We've had lots of visitors lately, which has been great!  I love having extra hands around to hold the boys and change diapers.  Miles loved seeing everyone.  I'm afraid he'll be a bit bored this week with just me around!

I will be leading WW meetings again this week for the first time since the week Spencer was born.  I'm looking forward to it, but I just know things will be really hectic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for awhile until we get into a little groove.  I remember when Miles was tiny, I felt like I had to plan for hours for the tiniest little trip, and if I had to take him anywhere in the afternoon, I was preparing for it literally all day.  It's already easier with two than it was with one, at least in terms of the craziness of it all.  I'm not as stressed by it.

I've been focusing lately on being more peaceful and consciously eliminating stress from my mind.  I have a tendency to let things get really frantic in my head and it spills over into my life and my environment, which in turn makes me more frantic...you can see why this would be a problem.  I can't let things be such a big deal, because there is so few things that truly are a Big Deal.

If you haven't read it yet, please check out Nella's birth story.  I posted this on Facebook after seeing it from someone else's post.  It's the amazing birth story of a baby born about 10 weeks ago to parents who had no idea their baby had Down's Syndrome.  It is absolutely beautiful and devastatingly honest.  I needed several tissues to get through it.  It's such a touching story.  I'm following Nella's mother's blog now, because I want to keep up with them.
