Small update
We met with Miles's pediatrician this morning to go over the concerns that we have about his speech, letter obsession, and social skills. While she did say that all of it could be normal, she did point out that autism is such a wide spectrum, and many signs can be very subtle. She gave us a brief screening, called the M-CHAT, which I had looked at over the weekend. He "passed," which I figured he would, but even so, she is making the call to the Early Intervention services to set up an assessment to see if he qualifies for Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy services through EI. At this point, I am convinced he at least needs some Speech Therapy services. I really hope this assessment happens soon, because waiting can be agonizing!

I'm so glad you're following your gut, Krista. Even if it proves to be nothing, I don't think you'll regret seeing it through. I pray for wisdom of you guys and whomever is doing that assessments!
