Time away and things purchased

We just got back tonight from a long weekend away.  Wednesday afternoon we got a rental car (because our Jeep has something wrong with it AGAIN) and headed down I-77.  Brandon dropped off Miles and myself in Wytheville, VA with my mom and he drove to Cary, NC for a meeting about Summer In The Son.  Miles and I hung out with Jamie and Will on Thursday and on Friday, Brandon picked me up at my parents' house and we went to Pigeon Forge for a couples' retreat with 7 other couples from our church.

This was our first time leaving Miles overnight, and he did great!  It was surprisingly a lot easier than I thought it would be!  Mom said he slept great and just played all day!  They were snowed in all weekend, so they were just at their house the whole time.

Brandon and I had an AWESOME time with our friends.  It was so nice to go out to dinner without high chairs, and we could actually finish a sentence with adults!  Ahhhhhhhhh...

I picked up a few things in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg:

• A "coming home" outfit  for Spencer (Carter's Outlet)
• 2 outfits for a church friend who is due with a little girl 10 days before me (Carter's Outlet)
• James Dobson's book "Bringing Up Boys" (Books A Million)
• Matching Big Brother/Little Brother shirt/onesie for Miles and Spencer (Carter's Outlet)

It was nice to get away but also very nice to get home!  Only a little over 4 weeks until our due date!
