I should probably knock on wood

I should probably knock on wood for saying this, but I am really surprised at how well I feel.

I am 22 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I couldn't feel less pregnant!  Sure, I enjoy an afternoon nap sometimes, but no bodily ailments to complain about!  At my OB appointment 5 weeks ago I was complaining about hip pain, trouble sleeping, but now?  Nothing!  I keep forgetting that I'm pregnant and I think this pregnancy is going way too fast!

We're feeling Spencer move quite a bit, which is great!  Yesterday I had Miles on my lap reading a book and Spencer gave him a big kick.  Ohhhh they are going to be so much fun together in a few years!

I'm starting to think about how we're going to set up their room together.  Things are progressing with the sale of our house, and we will be in this house at least until he arrives.  Spencer will be in a bassinet in our room for the first little bit (4 months or so), and the plan is to move Miles into a "big boy bed" when he turns 2 in July, and that should correspond with us moving Spencer into Miles's room.  There is NO room in Miles's current room for a toddler bed and a crib so they'll have to move into the guest room, which is bigger.  The owners of this house will be putting the house on the market in March, so I would have to move everything into the guest room and get settled in there and then have to move out soon after if they sell the house.  I suppose we can hold off a bit on moving the room, maybe until summer, after SITS is over.

I'm also starting to make a very short list of things I want/need when Spencer arrives.  So far, I have this:

  • Bouncy seat (we didn't have a lightweight, very portable seat for Miles and I think I will really appreciate one this time around)
  • Different style of baby-wearing gear, like a Moby wrap
  • A poncho style nursing cover
  • A few more super soft velour or flannel sheets for the crib and/or bassinet
And that's pretty much it!  We don't need much of anything, just money to pay our medical bills!  :-)
