Today, there are theoretically 200 days left in my pregnancy. That is a very large number, but it's certainly exciting to know that I am almost through the first trimester!
How am I feeling? Much better lately. I haven't vomited in about a week. The last time was when I decided that my morning sickness was totally gone and decided to clean out the fridge. I got through most of it, but when I dumped out a container of cooked veggies, I lost it and puked in the kitchen sink!
I'm back to cloth diapering, except at nights. I haven't found any of my diapers to be great for nighttime use yet. It's nice to be using all my adorable diapers again. My little vacation from dunking dipes was much needed and very much appreciated.
One exciting thing that has happened recently is that Miles is sleeping through the night in his crib! We had been co-sleeping (bed-sharing) since he was about 4 months old so that he could nurse throughout the night. Once I stopped nursing except for mornings and nighttime, I felt comfortable enough to start letting him cry a bit in his crib. Within a week, he had figured out that his crib is a safe place to sleep and he is routinely sleeping in there without crying now. Our only problem now is that he is pooping his pants in the middle of the night, which obviously wakes him up! Last night we made it from 9pm to 5am, when he woke up, smelling awful. So I changed him and he went back to sleep in the crib. Around 7:30am he woke up crying so I put him in bed with us and in just a few minutes, he pooped AGAIN! So I changed him again and within an hour, he had pooped YET AGAIN! I really wish I could schedule his poops better.
I'm looking forward to my next midwife appointment on the 24th. I really want to hear the baby's heartbeat and feel reassured that everything is going well. I'm looking forward to feeling the baby move, too. There's no greater feeling in the world! And of course I can't wait to find out if we are having a boy or a girl! Yes, that's right, we're going to find out. I entertained the thought of waiting again, but decided in the interest of being frugal, ultra frugal this time, it would be best to know. If we're having a girl, we'll need lots of clothes, but if it's a boy, we need pretty much nothing!
Well, it's almost dinner time and I have a little more work to do to get it ready!
