Oh my. It's been awhile, hasn't it?
First things first. Things are wonderful with the boys. Spencer is 2.5 months, Miles is 21.5 months. Spencer is very close to hitting 13 lbs, a milestone that Miles didn't hit until he was 4 months old and getting formula supplements after his hospital stay. Spencer is nursing great, sleeping fabulously (8 hours a night!!!). My only issue with him is that he really does not enjoy his car seat. It's a rare occasion that a car trip lasting longer than 30 minutes DOESN'T end with him screaming.
Let's see, what else...We're gearing up for summer craziness with everyone going here and there for Summer In The Son, then vacation.
I've decided that taking on doula clients is not going to work for us, not now. Perhaps in a few years, when our debts are down and income is up, I'll be able to do it, but at this point, we need steady income. Without getting into details, our total income might be affected in the fall, so I am planning to start babysitting in home. I can care for three children in addition to my own without going through the licensing process in Kentucky, which I don't want to deal with right now. Charging at the bottom of the range for unlicensed in-home care, that should help us out tremendously. I'm excited about it and I'm excited to think about Miles getting more social connections. Right now, he plays with other kids at church and MOPS when he goes, but he needs more.
Still working on my post about hospital bills, and I think the last of them have rolled in.
Still a coupon flunkie, but working on it...
And that's all I have for today.
