It's starting to look like a baby could live here again!

That's right, I've been nesting!

I'd been putting it off, and putting it off.  Finally on Saturday I got this huge burst of motivation and energy and we got a LOT done!  Here's what we did:

  • Re-arranged our room a little so that the Pack N Play (with bassinet and changing table attachments) is set up next to our bed and the rocking chair from Miles's room is now in the corner.  I have my nursing pillow and cloth nursing pads all set up next to the rocker.  This required the moving of some furniture (Brandon did that part) and we had to switch sides of the bed.
  • I went through everything in Miles's closet.  So much stuff in there.  I organized all of the "too small" clothing into their respective sizes (they had started to just accumulate in boxes and tubs), and all the other gear stuff in there.  I got my breastpump all ready in its tote bag, all my baby carriers hung up, and other stuff organized.
  • I washed all of the Newborn/0-3 Month clothes and have all the 3-6 Month clothes in a tote in the closet, since they're next in line.  The larger sizes will go in tubs in the storage building.
  • We moved Miles's room around, then realized it wouldn't work the way we tried it.  But the rocking chair is gone (and replaced with another random chair) and so is the toy box (he doesn't play in there, it was just holding some stuffed animals) and now there is a spare dresser brought over from the spare room.  It's older, but it still works!  Spencer's clothes will go in there.  I'm hoping to fold all of the itty bitty clothes tomorrow and put them away.  I haven't been able to do it because Miles has been napping or we've been out of the house doing other stuff.
One thing I still need to work on is how we're going to separate and organize the boys' cloth diapers.  The organization system I have right now is cramped with just one set of diapers -- it simply won't do for two.  I have some plastic shelves I could use, putting fabric baskets or totes on them.  I have to go to Wal-Mart tomorrow for a few food essentials, and I'm going to check out their options.  Maybe if I get really motivated, we'll go to Frankfort to the Dollar Tree.  They have lots of cute (and CHEAP!) containers and boxes.  Come to think of it, maybe I'll start with the Dollar Tree tomorrow...

I also started my HypnoBabies course on Saturday and I LOVE IT!  I'll admit that I do feel a little silly sitting there in the rocking chair trying to relax my entire body and imagine some of the things.  But there's nothing weird about the program, and I'm finding myself really trying to change my thought patterns about the birth.

It's amazing the things you pick up in others' speech when you start focusing on positive words.  I can't believe how many people are saying things like "Oh, I bet you're ready to get that baby out of there!"  It's not that I don't want to have the baby, but I'm only 34 weeks!  Still plenty of time left.  I'm being patient - he'll let us know when he's ready to be born!  I'm still working on getting Brandon more involved.  I think he's still fairly skeptical, but I know he's willing to work on it.
